About Global X Lithium & Battery Tech ETF

The Global X Lithium Battery Tech ETF is a passively managed exchange-traded fund. It tracks the performance and results of an index measuring approximately 40 companies involved in the lithium cycle, including mining, refinement and battery production of the precious metal. These cover several sectors and geographical locations. The fund was created in 2010 and has an expense ratio of 0.75%, with net assets of over $4.6bn. Top-weighted holdings of LITU include Albemarle, Eve Energy, BYD, Sociedad Química y Minera, Panasonic and Ganfeng Lithium. These companies are all essential in the production of electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy storage and mobile electronics.
