Curtiss-Wright is a US provider of products and services for the defence, commercial aerospace, power and process, and general industrial markets. The company was founded in 1929 through the merger of Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company and Wright Aeronautical, among others, with current headquarters in North Carolina. It’s split into three main focuses: aerospace and industrial, defence electronics, and naval and power. Although it used to specialise in the manufacturing of military aircraft, Curtiss-Wright has since expanded to include components such as controls, electromechanical actuators, sensors, transmission shifters, coatings, radar systems, valves, and hydrostatic pumps. It has a network of 65 facilities across 16 countries. Curtiss-Wright stock is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the S&P 500 index.
